Come join us during Carterton Space Week for the IYM Satellite in the Wairarapa, a hands-on opportunity to look at a variety of careers in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and High Tech Manufacturing).
IYM Satellite is an immersive, in person experience designed to inspire and connect young women with real-world STEMM pathways in the Wairarapa region.
During the day, you will meet local experts working in a variety of STEMM Industries. Come engage directly with scientists, engineers, researchers and innovators. Hear about their career pathways and the work they are doing.
Places are limited to 60 and the event cost is $30 (morning tea and lunch provided). You must be a young woman attending a Wellington region school and be able to make your own way to the Wairarapa Event Centre. This is a first come first served application process, applications will close when full.
IYM’s mission is to actively grow young women’s participation in STEMM by exposing them to inspiring role models, hands-on experiences, and meaningful industry connections.
